Seven blog virtues for building a Global Microbrand
As mentioned in our first post, in this weblog we will also be sharing our experiences as a new Internet start-up.
For this project, I was inspired by a few people whom I consider my Internet mentors. I have been reading their blogs regularly for some time now. Their approach and perspective influence our blog and, more generally, our business venture.
One of my mentors is Hugh McLeod, a blogger, illustrator and marketing guru whom I mentioned in one of my previous posts; another is Kathy Sierra, who writes excellent technical books and publishes a very informative and insightful blog in an attractive style, “Creating passionate users”
I have often wanted to translate their articles to share their work with as many people as possible but, as they say: “so much to do… so little time!”
However, when I found out that they recently collaborated on a presentation for a conference, I recognized an opportunity not to be missed so I offered to translate their presentation, Seven Blog Virtues for building a Global Microbrand into French. The French version can be downloaded here or you can go to Kathy’s website to find the original one, in English, there.
I highly recommend their blog and hope this will inspire you to go check it out. I will also be providing translations of their articles from time to time.
Thank you, Kathy and Hugh, for your apt and straightforward advice and for your valuable contribution to the blogosphere.
